THE WEST RIVER TRAIL: A TRAIL FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

The West RiverTrail continues to serve as a place to enjoy outdoor recreational opportunities, alone or with others, and it is also a place of community, happiness, and joy.

Friends of the West River Trail continues to work to improve and maintain the trail; to provide benches and picnic tables for rest and relaxation; to protect the land along the trail, and to improve the ecosystem health on the Riverstone Preserve.  To do this work, we need your help. Please consider a donation to Friends of the West River Trail to support this work.

The Friends of the West River Trail continues fundraising to achieve our dream of improving the beautiful wooded lower six miles of the West River Trail for everyone, and eventually joining it with our Upper Section.

The West River Trail can be used by people of all ages: commuter bikers, families with children on bikes or in strollers, walkers, runners and cross-country skiers. Our hope is to create a mobility-friendly surface for a walk—a gentle, flat bike ride, or a wheelchair outing. We’ve made many improvements and are on our way to achieving our dream.

Trail improvements and maintenance require financial and volunteer support. We welcome your support in any way you would like to give.
